Carole is certainly not new to my studio.   I have photographed her a few times.   For this shoot she purchased a gorgeous black bra/pantyset and I immediately knew I wanted to shoot this dark.

When you think of boudoir most people think of a lot of white.   I know I’ve done my fair share of high key boudoir, where the client is on a bed of white sheets in a white room with lots of light.

Shooting boudoir dark can be extremely sexy.  In this case you ensure the subject is lit and everything else is dark or black, making her the obvious focus.
